When we're trapped in the thinking mind, we're always one thought away from where the action is.

The first recollection I have of singing was at a family party, when I jumped up on the table and sang my heart out! I think I was about 5 years old - nothing has changed, I still sing my heart out.

I started out going to folk clubs singing contemporary and traditional folk music, going on to front a variety of bands, duo’s and trios in the entertainment business singing cabaret to rock, touring this country and abroad. I began work on my solo career at the end of the 90’s. I refer to this time as my ‘apprenticeship’, a really fabulous time where I learnt a lot and traveled a lot too!

A turning point for me came in 2002 when I was asked to star in a touring theatre show ' A Musical Tribute to Eva Cassidy'. As part of Eva’s music catalogue, I was able to explore Jazz and Blues as well as revive my love of contemporary and traditional folk music. I also began writing seriously at this time and in 2003 I released my first self-penned album 'Shock Delayed', a combination of folk, country, rock and gospel.

During the next couple of years Lindsay and I explored inspirational music and energy work and this was reflected in 2006 in the release of our album Music Moves Within Me'. This experiential work incorporated intense vocal harmony, percussion, Sanskrit and chanting. Following its success, I wanted to share my singing experience with others and developed my own style of vocal coaching which I call Sing Yourself Free”.

I continue with my many musical and writing projects, working by myself, with Lindsay and in collaboration with other musicians.
